If you have ever gone to a theme park, you are probably familiar with the colored wristbands that they provide to prove you are a paying customer. But that type of wristband can come in handy in other aspects of everyday life, whether you are a teacher trying to keep track of students on a class trip, or a mom trying to keep track of your kids on the beach. You can make your own identification wristbands with a short list of materials, and it is quite easy.
Step1 Decide what color you would like your wristbands to be, and how many you will need. This will help you to determine how many sheets of paper you will need to purchase.
Step2 Mark off 1-inch sections with your ruler, and draw lines lengthwise across the sheet of paper.
Step3 Cut along the lines with your scissors. These will be your wristbands. Each one should be 12 inches in length.
Step4 Write your student's or child's personal information on the bracelet. You may also want to add designs or photos on your wristbands, as well.
Step5 Cut your contact paper with your scissors, the same length and twice the width, plus 1/4 inch. The cut contact paper will be used to cover your wristbands, with some excess to fold over and secure.
Step6 Cover each band with contact paper, this will make the wristband somewhat waterproof.
Step7 Wrap the wristband around the wrist of your child or student, and attach with scotch tape wrapped around it to secure.
Step8 Cut off any excess that is left over after you secure it. Your band is done!
